iwantyou

With acknowledgement to James Montgomery Flagg who created the original 1917 Uncle Sam recruitment poster.

It looks like Spring finally has arrived!  The 2019 event and driving season is starting.  And, I'm looking for you.

In fact, I WANT YOU!

I want to see you and meet you at drives, tech sessions, car shows, and socials.

However, to do that we not only need listings on our web site but also in a required quarterly newsletter. And, presently we don’t have a newsletter editor. And here’s the BIG DOWNSIDE for the Chapter: No quarterly newsletter = no membership dues sent back to the Chapter to host events AND no permission to do driving events. Yes, you read that correctly. Our events stop until we become compliant. Now, I’m working on the current issue, but I can’t continue as Editor in addition to being President and Secretary and helping with the web site transition.

So, the Chapter desperately needs someone who can write well, edit a newsletter, work with a printer/printing company, and take responsibility for mailing print copies to those members who still ask for that format.  If you are able to do these tasks, the Chapter will provide a stipend to cover the subscription to Adobe InDesign, which is the preferred format of printers, and will cover a bit of your time as well.

Able to help? Contact C. L. Harrison (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 330.212.9280) for details as soon as possible. Please be prepared to give the Board a sample of your work and pertinent experience information.

For the time being, to keep up on planned events, there's a calendar listing on every web page which shows the next five items on our schedule. You can view all upcoming activities from the navigation at the top of the page? Select Chapter Info; the last item on the drop-down is List All Chapter Events. By using this link you can keep up with everything organized for the year.

At the end of April we again co-host a Tire Rack© Street Survival school with Mahoning Valley Regional SCCA at Boardman Park. I can’t stress strongly enough how excellent this experience is for a new driver. If you know someone who could benefit from the event, please have them go to Motorsportreg (www.motorsportreg.com) to register today.

BMW Genius logoMay starts with a special Tech Talk at Cleveland BMW with a BMW Genius. I’m currently taking questions on specific models for the Geniuses as well as reservations. Don’t wait too long to reserve your place!

Sarahsgarden

June begins with a visit to Sarah’s Vineyard across from Blossom Music Center after a drive through areas west of the Cuyahoga Valley.  Now, get the car out of storage, limber up your observation and driving skills, and meet me this year at an event.

I really DO want and need you!
